When a ray of sunlight enters through a window, an ant walks along a sidewalk or a car goes down the street, there is an exchange in energy. The energy changes occur so often that always take for granted. However, for thousands of years the concept of energy has been misunderstood. Ancient cultures associated the fire with all forms of energy, and the Greek philosopher Heraclitus ( 500 BC) explained everything that happened in the universe in terms of energy. In later centuries, many scientists have proposed theories to explain the concept of energy, but none gave real light on the subject. In 1686, English mathematician and physicist Sir Newton outlined three laws describing the behavior of moving bodies.

The ‘Laws of Motion’ Newton was the first description of the forces that affect objects that move and, therefore, were the first precise description of the energy of moving objects (called mechanical energy). Newton’s axioms laid the foundations of our knowledge of energy and strength. There are different forms of energy: mechanical energy, electricity, energy from the heat energy from light, etc. In reality, energy is defined as the ability to cause change or do work.
